Julia Brigidi is a managing partner of the Bristol Workshops in Photography. She has published her work 20 years. The resident portrait photographer of the studio, Julia also devotes a significant amount of her creative energies to projects involving local charities. The Heart Gallery, The Healing Co-op, AIDS prevention, and local animal shelters are just a few of the causes to which she lends her time and photographic skills. Julia’s interest in photography reaches well back into her childhood where as a twelve-year-old she began documenting the wildlife that congregated around her home in New York. With an abundant source of patience and an easy manner, Julia is especially well suited to photograph animals and children. Her passion for photography and her love of people is evident in her work and she thoroughly enjoys the unique and rewarding challenges that portrait photography provides. Julia lives in Bristol, RI, with her husband Stephan, their son Gian-Stefano and many animals.
