Mark Abbott was born in the south, raised in the Midwest, received his education at University of California Berkeley, and moved to RI in 1992 when his wife joined the faculty at Brown University. Has taught in the Brown Physical Education program ever since. He enjoys the cultural diversity of Rhode Island and the many local celebrations of various ethnic communities. Mark has nearly 25 years experience teaching and training in the martial arts. In addition to teaching martial arts, he is a Personal Trainer working in Providence. Currently he lives in Lincoln, RI with his wife and their four-footed companion, Bodie.
Marks interest in digital imaging and photography is based on his computer background. He particularly enjoys photography of people and animals, with a strong interest in sports photography. His landscape work has been shown in local galleries and exhibits.
