Directions to Bristol Workshops

The studio is located in a newly renovated Art Deco style building on the waterfront of the historic Bristol Harbor.  We welcome anyone who would like to experience the Bristol Workshops in person.  Filled with photographs, antiques and the affectionate attentions of Nina, our Fall River retriever, the studio is open and inviting to every guest.  We look forward to your visit.

NOTE: Do not use Map Quest! Their directions are wrong.

 

From Rt. 95 N. or S. in Providence

Take Exit 20 (Rt. l95 East toward Cape Cod). Follow to Exit #2 (this will be the second Exit #2, you do not want the Exit #2 in RI.) Rt. 136 - Newport/Warren. Turn right at the end of exit and continue straight on 136 for about 5 miles going through the town of Warren and into Bristol, (Rt. 136 is also called Metacom Ave). Watch for a Super Stop & Shop and a 1776 Liquors on the right. At the following intersection turn right at the light onto Gooding Ave. Continue to the end and turn left at the light onto Rt. 114 (also called Hope St.). Go one mile to the Exxon station (on left) where the road forks. Bear right onto Thames St. along Bristol harbor. Take the second left onto Franklin Street. We are on the right hand side, located at 4 Franklin Street, 401-253-2351.

 

From Boston and areas north, from Rt. 128 N. or S.:

Take Rt. 24 S. toward Fall River, MA. At Fall River, Rt. l95 intersects and interrupts Rt. 24 very briefly. Once on rt. 195 must exit to take Rt. 24 S. toward Newport. Entering Rhode Island, take exit 2 marked Mt. Hope Bridge/Bristol. Bear right, going about 1/4 mile to bridge. Go over the bridge and pick up Rt. 114 N. bearing left at Roger Williams Univ. Continue on 114 north into the town of Bristol. Watch for the Bank of America on the left-hand side, take the next left onto Franklin Street. We are located on the left-hand side of the road at 4 Franklin Street, 401-253-2351.

 

From Newport :

Take West Main Road Rt. 114 N. Follow through Middletown and Portsmouth. Follow signs to the Mount Hope Bridge. Once over bridge, Roger Williams University will be on right, stay to the left continuing to follow 114 N. Watch for the Bank of America on the left-hand side, take the next left onto Franklin Street. We are located on the left-hand side of the road at 4 Franklin Street, 401-253-2351.
