Digital Photography - Mark Abbott
This intensive one day course is for beginning to intermediate level. It explores the various aspects of digital technology involving the basics of using a digital camera, shooting raw vs. jpegs, understanding histograms, organizing files and storage with an introduction to Adobe Photoshop Elements, the digital darkroom.
In addition, we will cover the basics of photography: exposure, depth of field, handling motion, the use of flash, etc. and how you can use these principles to make better photos. Weather permitting we will spend some time outside shooting and practicing what we have learned in class. Members of this workshop are expected to provide their own cameras. Please bring your camera, camera manual and spare batteries to class.

Portrait Photography/Studio Lighting - Stephan Brigidi
The study of the human subject with an understanding of what constitutes a portrait beyond likeness and identity is the direction of this class. Participants will use their cameras in class practicing with studio lighting and camera techniques. Experience may range from beginners to advanced. Class will finish with a critique of in-studio work.

Intro to Digital Photography - Mark Abbott
This one-evening course is intended to be an introduction to the fundamentals of photography in the digital world. We will cover the basic techniques of photography and how they are used with a digital camera to capture a digital image. From there we will move to the unique aspects of digital photography that distinguish it from traditional film photography. Covered will be file management and archiving, the various shooting modes offered by digital cameras, histograms and exposure compensation, file formats and editing including shooting in raw vs. jpeg.

Wedding & Event Photography- Stephan Brigidi
This is an intensive one-evening session in looking at this highly specialized role in photography. By presenting varied and numerous examples, participants will explore the aesthetic, the technical and the marketing involved in wedding and event photography. The session will cover all aspects for those with some experience and those seeking to break into this most exciting field. Participants will be guided in a lively discussion and come away with a broader understanding of the demands and rewards of wedding & event photography.

Fine Art Collage - Stephan Brigidi
Create a finished piece of Fine Art with Stephan Brigidi.
Combine your own preferred photographs, found paper fragments and varied findings, in applying loose or formal aesthetic elements of design such as: line, texture, pattern, space and color, to create a visual organization of your composition, Participants will build a meaningful environment of personal treasures with archival techniques.
Choices of presentations and a range of framing possibilities will be shown to complete a finished, personal Fine Art Collage.
